Police Close Pass

Police car overtook me at a speed in excess of 30mph
Passed at significantly less than the 2-metre clearance typically expected when overtaking a cyclist
Did so where there was no traffic pressure, and no apparent urgency, yet chose to when there was a bus coming the other way.
What startled me most was just how close and fast the overtake felt. The police car had not been held up behind me and could easily have waited to pass more safely.
