Overtake followed by immediate left turn

Coming up to a left turn, the car started to overtake me on the zigzag lines at the traffic lights. They clearly intended to cut me up as they were already signalling left as they passed me. I had to brake and swerve to avoid them. As is typical, there was no acknowledgement from them of any wrongdoing.
