Impatience

I try to minimise riding on the Pacific Highway, it's a busy road, but Sunday morning is generally light traffic and plenty of bike traffic so drivers are bit more aware, except for this impatient driver ... I was riding pretty much in pace with the traffic which was slowing at the village, I gave a strong hand signal as I moved out and noted this vehicle a bit behind me and enough space for me, but, he then sped up and intentionally close passed hitting his horn as he went past (demonstration of his anger?) ... I nearly caught up with him as he quickly caught the slowing traffic ahead but then I got stopped by a red light.
I wouldn't report this to the Police because, 1. they make reporting an ordeal/discourage it and 2. they wouldn't do anything anyway.
Excuse the language, scared me ...
