Close pass driver goes to court and gets not guilty YX64PYS

After reporting this to the police it ended up in the Magistrates Court.
Even though the prosecution got the driver to admit they should have given me more space the Magistrates decided as I had not swerved or braked then it was not dangerous so the outcome was not guilty!
I assume they have never ridden a bike, read the Highway Code or maybe they close pass cyclists themselves and think it's OK as long as they are not delayed.
