Close call with a bus, then a Emergency Services Vehicle

Cycling on Ocean Drive, Bunbury, WA, when I noticed sand on the road.
I was about to go around the sand, when i heard a vehicle behind me and close.
I locked up my brakes to avoid riding into the sand, as I could have lost traction and gone into the bus.
If I had have gone around the sand I would have been hit by the Bus.
While I was getting over the close call, an Emergency Vehicle, Fire Apparatus, missed me by only a foot or two.
