It's only really a blind spot if you aren't paying attention to your surroundings. They'd only just passed me but got slowed by traffic ahead while I didn't need to slow and I'm right by their rear passenger door as the indicator on the mirror comes on and their coming over without the slightest head check. The blue car was parked in a clearway (starts at 4:30pm) so shouldn't have been there either. This is a classic car move coming up to this intersection as there's no parking beyond here around the corner and all the slow people love the right lane.
